- The big dunes west of Egin Lakes and dunes south of Egin–Hamer Road close January 1 until sunrise April 1. Surrounding areas close January 1 until sunrise May 1. Small dunes east of Egin Lakes to Red Road remain open year-round.

- Entry — $10 per day — for Egin Lakes day-use visitors. Notes: Facility day-use rate; not a verified permit price for every dune area.
