- Planning Notes
- South Jetty sand camping is less than two miles south of Florence. Use designated sites in the open riding area south of South Jetty Road, within 150 feet of the marker. Standard sites allow five vehicles and 20 people; group sites allow ten vehicles and 40 people. Bring water, pack out trash and use a fire pan. Oregon OHV permits are required. Seasonal snowy-plover beach protections run March 15–September 15; consult current route and beach restrictions.
- The Breach OHV Trail connects Driftwood II to the beach and links the Siltcoos/South Jetty riding areas. Its 0.5-mile length describes that trail only. Winter and spring flooding may make it impassable. The published 10 p.m.–6 a.m. curfew applies to this trail; verify the current schedule for other northern-dune routes.
