Methodology
Rankings use the same canonical, deduplicated snapshot as the 2026 report methodology. State rankings count only verified positive values; Unknown never becomes “No” or zero. Terrain diversity counts represented normalized categories and is not a quality score. Sponsorship, partnership, and featured placement are not ranking inputs.
Quality gates
Numeric park rankings require at least 10% eligible coverage and values within configured plausibility limits. Headline percentages require 35% known coverage. No composite state index is published while coverage is insufficient.
